GST and money: extract, do not file

A model can pull invoice number, GSTINs, taxable value, and tax heads from text you paste. It cannot file on the GST portal, and it must not invent an HSN or a rate you did not show it.

Rule: table only, missing fields marked “not in the text”, then you open the GST portal or your CA file. If you did not paste a number, the cell is empty: not “probably 18%”.

Same pattern for UPI amounts and school fees. The app drafts the reminder. You confirm the rupees from your own ledger.

DPDP-style care without pretending to be a lawyer

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) is the reason you do not casually paste a class list, a patient name, or a customer phone book into a public chat app. This course is not legal advice. The practical rule is enough to start: if a person could be identified, do not paste it unless you would be willing to show that paste to them and to your manager.

Redact: last four digits of a phone, first name only, “Shop in Surat” instead of the full address. You can still practise the prompt.

People who will read this

A teacher can ask where a paragraph came from. A client can forward your WhatsApp to a group. A citizen will treat a government-looking summary as official. If the model quoted a circular, you need the sentence from the PDF: not a confident paraphrase.

Before send, ask three questions: Did I check the numbers? Did I remove personal data I should not share? Would I sign this with my name? If any answer is no, it stays a draft.
